yesterday was a guilty day!!
last nite, a bunch of hungry souls gathered at blk 8 lounge for STEAMBOAT SUPPER! haha.. there was me, yinglan, justin, randy, ahlien, zongming, sebastian and shujing.. we used ahlien's new hotpot to cook myojo mee with chicken broth! and we added sausages, crabsticks, fishballs and golden needle mushrooms.. super sinful!! i like the feeling of a bunch of people huddling together around a hot pot of food and all slurping from it.. :)
after supper.. we played DRINKING GAMES! the mad bunch included me, justin, zongming, ahlien, karweng and sebastian.. at first we played simple indian poker.. sebastian's luck was sooooo good that he could get two 3s consecutively! and that's followed by suay cards like 2s and 4s.. *faints* after that, it was freeeeeaking funny playing a version of ban luck whereby u can make the next person drink!! can see zongming (as usual) and ahlien have superb blood circulation.. lol.. and justin's classic "KAHHHH WENGGGGGG!!!" wahaha!! poor karweng and ahlien chou 11 and 13 respectively i think.. *giggles* i laughed so much i think i almost hyperventilated.. it's so ENTERTAINING!! but zai me din drink alot.. at most half cup of vodka+mixer in total i think.. heh.. :)
we had so much fun last nite that the guys thought we should do this more often! GOODNESS!! haha..

wana thank all the nice people who asked about my eye.. :)
i'm alright now. it's much much better after seeing the doc and using her miraculous eyedrop. luckily the swell went down within a day, if not so ugly.. haha.. but just one complaint - everytime i use the eyedrop, everything i smell and taste is horrendously bitter. even carrot juice tastes like eyedrops. yucks.
had a final hallprod meeting last nite also.. felt so nostalgic.. all the times we spent in the conference room having meetings, welfare makan sessions and all. when i look at all their faces, can see that everyone has grown over the past year.. no more the blur-looking freshies during our first meeting. and we've become such good frens.. really glad to have gone thru all these with this bunch of people. yinglan treated us to prata after meeting.. and like my nick suggests, my hallprod experience ended.. with a burp. :)

i think girls shouldn't drink alcohol. it makes nice girls look ugly. hate it when they drink too much and make a total fool out of themselves, while others stand by and laugh at their messed up state. no matter how sad u are, why do u want to do this to urself? will things become better when u are puking all over the place and having a hangover the next day? is it fair to those who care about u and want to protect u? why do this to urself? i pity girls who end up like that and my heart really goes out to them. but more than anything i am angry at them cos they do not love themselves and they can blame nobody but themselves for the state that they are in.
hope they are fine now and that their troubles will be solved soon. alcohol can't solve anything, but sanity can.

it's been a really fruitful weekend..
- went to celebrate swee's bday last fri nite at sketcher's restaurant @ around mohd sultan area.. joined the 26/03 people to celebrate for the bday girl who just turned 21! was abit extra cos i was the only one who's not from her class, but i hun-ed abit n managed to smile at her frens.. haha.. caught up with felilee as well.. been ages since i last saw her! smu feels so far away.. hoho. well food was not bad (i had a blackpepper steak with mushroom pasta.. yumyum) and price was quite reasonable (abt 16 bucks).. and oh! the waitress who served us was an ex-contestant of campus superstar.. :)
- saturday was spent in front of orchard tangs, tying n handing out balloons for OMC canvassing! i was with my roomie, coco, jialiang, xiaoniu n a shy guy called jacky.. it was very tiring but very fun! apparently the people who hired us were also the ones supplying national day parade's balloons.. WOAH. big shot eh. after the job, me justin coco and jialiang went far east to have dinner. finished the beef hor fun in record time cos i was freaking hungry! haha i actually finished faster than a hungry xiaoniu. then stupid jialiang tempted me to deep fried drumlets. and i relented! sinful.. groans.
- i biah cab down to my beloved alma mater TJC after that to join the juniors' 2nd orientation nite.. our teacher advisor for students' council last time msged us that morning to say she's feeling nostalgic and yearning to see her grown up children again. so we all responded to her call, and 5 of us made it back.. me, ck, dhana, boss and zub. not too bad.. 3 PCs, boss and welfare! haha.. yay PCs rock. :) anyway it was great being bk in dear old tjc, seeing all those fresh faces and enthusiasm from the young ones. quality of performances were really high too! i was expecting toilet humor but all i saw were like top-notch violinists from music elective playing classic tunes vanessa mae style. awesome! and a great 'storm'-cum-dikir barat performance by simei ITE.. i give full thumbs up! ms norsheha was as youthful as ever, even doing 'speedy gonzales' with us at the end.. but of cos nobody dared to kick her when she's pushed into the middle.. haha.. also felt young again when we joined in for some mass dances.. but seems like age is catching up cos i was perspiring profusely and trying to catch my breathe by the end of the 2nd song.. gosh has it been 3 yrs since i could do a full mass dance marathon?
all 6 of us headed to tampines macs for supper cos boss was treating.. yay! had a good talk with boss n ck during the bus ride there.. hope boss knows what to expect when he enters uni soon.. good luck! and also ck, i haven't seen her in awhile i think.. but she's always kept in my thoughts! love u girl.. jiayou at sch k.. we may not meet often but u're always in my heart! :)
-looking back, it's interesting how time has passed and how we've all grown n blossomed into young adults with aspirations in different fields.. look at us now.. we've got val in cambridge doing english, poyi in scotland doing medicine, zub in nus medicine, boss doing architecture in nus soon, dhana is also flying to ireland to do medicine too.. can proudly say that tjc 27th sc is going places! proud of all of u! :)
- sunday i went to my youngest uncle's place for family gathering.. it's great that we're having some kinda gathering at diff houses every wk from CNY onwards.. had the usual dinner plus karaoke session, but it felt as warm as ever to have my extended family with me. brought the kids to the playgrounds and played catching with them. think i lost like 2kgs running around with those brats and carrying them across the monkey bars. but looking at these angels made me all the more sure that i love kids! ahhh maternal instincts.. lol..

i think i need to get in touch with my life again. i really don't know what i have been doing with it. where are my friends? have i been showing them due concern? what about my family? i ought to spend more time at home when they are around. where is our relationship heading towards? there's so much more i wana do with u.. all the places we wana go, the things we wana eat, the things we wana do.. and i've lost motivation to do something about my life, to be in control of my life. i'm just letting it take me where it wants me to go now. but that's not me. i want the feeling of empowerment again. that i know where i want to go and i know exactly how to get there. now i know i want a scholarship. and yes, i'm going to work towards it. never mind if i don't get it. at least i won't live to regret not trying. i want to make an effort to keep in touch with my friends. seems like the only one i have been making effort to meet is kayin. as for the rest of u, u know i still care. will find time for u peeps! i am also making a point to go to every family gathering the folks organise, and to be home every weekend. as for u, shall we make time for all the things we wanted to do?

there's like nothing much to blog about recently.. no motivation.. i guess the slack bug has eaten into me and it's making me slack in like every thing i do.. not even bothering to blog now.. boo.
anyway i decided to blog about OMC subcom nite which was yesterday! it's like so much better than last yr's subcom nite.. the videos were great (spoof of nike commercial, click to view original), skit was great (had a cute plot n was genuinely funny) and the atmosphere was great too! had alot of fun with my og KHOULA! as usual i was the first girl volunteered for the inter-og game.. but i had a ball of a time.. wootz! and i really ought to train up for reaction games like "zui ba shou zhi bu yi yang" and counting games like 7-up.. i can't count for nuts n i can't rmb the timetables to save my skin.. growls.
so just wana say a huge WELL DONE to OMC, especially to my dear who's heading the com.. yeah u've done well! i really enjoyed myself yest.. so proud of u and what u've achieved so far! it'll just get better yah? jiayou for the rest of the journey to FOC 07/08! i'll be right behind u, supporting u every step along the way! :)
