here to say goodbye to year 2006, probably the most significant year in my life..
glad to have met YOU and to become part of your life.
glad to have grown closer to my wonderful family and to feel the strong affection from my loving parents.
glad to have great friends who stick by me and make me feel loved and sheltered.
glad to be part of a talented group of people who came together to make a dream come true.
glad to achieve what i wanted academically.
next year will be better! :)

oh yah the release of exam results totally erased any traces of PMS i had over the past few days.. haha.. am exhilarated!
anyway, yesterday was hallprod xmas dinner at marina square changing appetites. attendance was pretty good so i'm quite comforted by that.. well the people were damn fun.. had a blast of a time with crappy people like my roomie, johnson, xiao niu justin, zongming, huangfang, sebastian etc.. sherry and i shared a baby back ribs and some cheesy chicken with mango thing.. nice! then they were laughing at me cos i don't exactly look elegant when i dine.. bleah.. i shall not elaborate on what embarrasing thing i did in the restaurant.. :x
after dinner we split into half - young chiongsters who went zouk mambo nite and old brittle-boned people who went kbox to croon at good ol' songs from our 80s-90s era.. i, of cos, belonged to the crooning group together with roomie lanzi, xiaoniu, jt, zibin, johnson, randy and milly. it's the first time i see guys hogging the mic!! they sang most of the songs while we girls became backup singers. but really, these guys surprise me with their singing talents.. johnson can sing, that we all know.. but xiaoniu and randy! i thought xiaoniu can only moo out songs! wahaha.. he and randy can hit jay chou and jj lin's high notes man!! *totally in awe* had a crazy time getting high with them in kbox! :)
yesterday nite set me back by about 40 odd bucks.. am so broke now! $20 on dinner, $20 on ktv and about $8 on cab back to ulu ntu.. have to eat grass like xiaoniu from now till chinese new year! reckon my account is back to double digit now. groannnnnnnnn..
ah btw i've got 2 gatherings to look forward to (not looking forward to spending though) - one with roomie lanzi, xueling, yokewen etc and another with dino fren kayin, jiajun, clara, mindan, sweechee and feli.. aquaguys gang gathering shall be left to mr berna nga to organise! yay!

i'm rather happy with my results cos it's my best sem ever, with a GPA of 4.53. it beats even my first sem GPA of 4.5! just when i thought it wasn't possible to achieve that again..
well this sem's results will push me to work even harder for future sems. i know what i can achieve if i bother to put in that extra effort and self-discipline. won't rest on my laurels or slack! yeah more SAT to come!! :)

christmas eve's eve:
- helping to nail shelf planks, fix wheels, saw wood, carry shelves etc
- steamboat dinner with sepoys and wives, then pool plus dart plus watch soccer match at some place in club street. lady boss was kinda horny and hitting on alvin. ewww.. my friendship with dan blossomed as we became dart and photohunt buddies :)
christmas eve:
- lunch at hougang mall
- teh aliah at downtown east. it was so mild.. almost couldn't taste the ginger. works wonders to get rid of tummy wind though.
- retail therapy at wisma, bought a ripcurl black cap for softball, a jacket and socks from samuel and kevin. daro got himself a really nice le coq sportif jacket too.
- off to wendy's place in sengkang for mahjong. daro was overall winner, with both wendy and dan contributing to his 7 buck fortune. yes dan, mahjong buddies too.
- supper in hougang. daro challenged me to power teh aliah. he lost of cos.. i can take alot of ginger.
- bowling challenge at kovan. check this out.
daro is a really good bowler.. minimum off-form score also above 110.. madness.
well not really in a particularly good mood since yesterday.. i think it's PMS. i'm out of sorts. argh. yeah that explains the short sentences and lack of enthusiasm. bleah. damn sucky to be a gal, seriously. emo creatures.
off to marina square in awhile for hallprod xmas dinner and ktv. hope i feel better then.

daro and i are morons.. while the rest go mad in mah boon krong shopping their last morning in bangkok away, we're grocery shopping in the supermarket instead.. haha!
oh btw, let me introduce everyone to our best buddy on a trip to bangkok..... BETAGEN! yep, it's not vitagen, but it's distant cousin betagen! haha.. works wonders in clearing our bowels after all the rubbish we ate (including large delicious crunchy grasshoppers) and possibly unhygienic roadside food. we make it a point to drink it after almost every meal..

ohhhh yah speaking of mah boon krong (MBK). we went there on the morning before we departed for the airport. daro and i were eager to make good use of our last hours there while the rest were still concussing in their cosy beds. we walked over to MBK but it's not open yet,so we went further to patumwan princess hotel. i went there to shit.. hahaha! high class 6-star shitting environment! :)
after grocery shopping in the MBK supermarket, daro and i went to walk around in the HUGE shopping complex. that idiot was on some burping rage, and kept pestering me with his disgusting burps. and i mean loud, smelly, in-ur-face BURRRRRRPS. ewwww. worst thing was when we went into giordano.. a salesgirl was attending to me while i was looking at some sling bags for my bro. when i turned around, daro let out a loud burp right in my face! we 2 fell into a bundle of laughs while the salesgirl giggled away at us morons.. lol.

pratunam market! my fave shopping hideout!! it's here where i bought most of my loot.. haa.. u can see from this pic a wee bit of pratunam market.. it's like alot alot of shelters 'pasar malam' style.. sells real cheap n good stuff! I LOVE PRATUNAM!
oh btw, this scenic pic was taken from the lobby of baiyoke sky hotel, the tallest hotel in bangkok! the lobby is on the 18th floor -_-" didn't get to go up to the lounge on the top floor though..
the guys are no shoppers.. just chop chop bought what they wanted and went to the baiyoke sky hotel lobby to slack. daro took this pic himself - must be too bored waiting for us.
after much hesitation (and smses from the impatient guys), we gals decided to head back to our meeting place. that's me and yeong min, showing off our loot! notice glum weilie in the background. lol. ahhh must show off my puma bag! i bought it for 99 baht (less than SGD$5)! it's grey and white and translucent.. nice! quality is good too.. :D aside from the bag, i also bought tops, billabong board shorts and lantern shorts!
this is our steamboat dinner, just opposite the street from our hotel. cheap cheap! marina bay style steamboat buffet for 89 baht (SGD$3+)! it's quite cute - the steamboat has a hump in the middle for u to cook ur meat.. but the meat tends to slide down into the soup, so there's skill involved in keeping it on the hump! the soup is duper sweeeeet, as is always the case in bangkok.. and our conclusion at the end of day is that wang bo rocks! heh.

i'm back from bangkok!! i bet everyone missed me n my blog entries.. hoho..
there's alot of pics so i think i better let the pics do the talking.. enjoy!
we met at changi airport terminal 1 at 8.30am. people on the flight: me, darrel, junyi, peiwen, basil, jessica, yeong min, wei lie, benjamin.
air asia screwed up big time, delaying our flight for 4.5 hrs before departure. and they didn't even announce the delay so we checked in early only to rot till 3.45pm.. we shopped in the duty free shops, watched an exciting basketball match, fooled around with the free OTO feet massager, and took silly pics. can see how bored we were. hahaha.. oh i think air asia is damn stingy. the compensation they gave us for wasting one full day of our trip (we reached the hotel in bangkok around 8) was a $8 food court meal. please lah the chicken rice cost $8 lor!

day 2: me, daro, junyi and peiwen took the bangkok mrt to mo chit. that's the stop for chatuchak weekend market aka shoppers' paradise!!! the rest took cabs there. believe it or not, cab was cheaper and we arrived at about the same time.
one thing about bangkok was that their food display was SUPERB. it's so beautiful and neat that u just have to buy it. look at the strawberries! looks fake don't it! and the cute tiny quail eggs and endless sticks of sausages and meatballs. yummy! and their fruit juices are duper SWEET! trust me when EVEN i say it's sweet, it's really damn sweet!
that's us with groovy shades.. hee.. i bought one "burberry" one, only 69 baht (less than SGD$3)
